At the research proposal stage, applicants are expected to provide a description of measures to be taken for the dissemination and exploitation of project results and a plan for managing any new IP resulting from the proposed project. Through some case studies, the workshop will examine different types of IP arising from a project, methods to protect them, specific IP related issues with agreements prior to a proposal and some proposal languages and actions that could help the patentability of future results. This session will be of particular interest to research analysts and researchers working within the OMAFRA-U of G Partnership research program.
