Join University of Guelph researchers at 10Carden at 6:30pm to Learn 
Something New this Summer!


July 19th:  Learn how to improve your PowerPoint presentations and how to 
teach kids about sustainability

Explore the art and science of presentation design thinking and ideas from 
the world of storytelling. Learn how to apply principles from the 
“Presentation Zen” design philosophy to remake a tired presentation into 
something an audience can really connect with. Presenter Trent Tucker is an 
Assistant Professor, School of Hospitality  and Tourism Management.

Learn about how the My World, My Choice! educational program teaches 
students about sustainability and challenges them to grow as leaders in 
their schools & communities. Presenter Lianne Foti is the Co-Founder and 
Project Coordinator of My World, My Choice.


August 16th: Know more about your body and about sustainability within the 
food-service industry!

Know your machine! Learn more about the human body: understand the weird and 
wonderful  parts of your personal machine.
Presenter Lorraine Jadeski is the Director of the Human Anatomy Program.

Learn about the University of Guelph Sustainable Restaurant Project and 
environmental sustainability within the food-service industry.
Presenter Bruce McAdams is the founder and advisor for the student run 
Garden2Table program and an Assistant Professor in the School of Hospitality 
and Tourism Management.


Lectures start at 6:30pm. Light refreshments served.
